STP – Single Touch Payroll
STP is a new government initiative to streamline employer reporting obligations to the ATO. Using Accounting Payroll software you will send your Employees Tax and Superannuation information to the ATO, each time you run your payroll and pay your Employees.
Q. Do I have to use Single Touch Payroll? Is it compulsory?
Employers with 19 or less Employees will need to commence reporting through STP from 1st July 2019. If you are an Employer with 4 or less
Employees, you will have additional options, including mobile phone apps.
There are flexible reporting options available for:
-family members of a family-owned Business
-Directors or Shareholders of a Company
-Trustees or Beneficiaries of a Trust and will not require reporting in 2019-20
